Technical Machine

TM Simbol.png Technical Machine (TM) is an item that allows a trainer to teach new moves to their Pokémon. Pokémon that possess this item will be able to learn a complete new moveset and will also perform a different role than their original version. To equip a TM on a Pokémon, the player must have ten discs to complete a collection. In addition, a TM can only be equipped on the Pokémon that corresponds to it, meaning that it is not possible to use an Electivire TM collection on a Magmortar, for example. Like T1H Pokémon, the use of a TM is exclusive to PvE content and cannot be used in PvP battles.

  • Available Roles: Tank, Off Tank, Burst Damage Dealer, and Over Time Damage Dealer (OTDD/DPS)
  • Level for use:
    • Pokémon in the categories Tank and Over Time Damage Dealer: 500+.
    • Pokémon in the categories Off Tank and Burst Damage Dealer: 400+
  • Boost required to equip and use TM: +80;
  • How to obtain: Voidmania, Nightmare Terror, ???.

Pokémon with TM

Like conventional Tanks, TM Tanks are responsible for withstanding as much damage as possible, but they have superior defense compared to other existing Tanks. The discs in for these TM collections can be obtained by facing Nightmare Terrors. Their base form can be obtained through Quests, Nightmare Crystals, or in hunting locations where they usually appear. In addition, Pokémon equipped with this TM may have their base element changed according to the clan corresponding to the Pokémon. They are:

TM DPS are mainly dedicated to content involving Boss Battles, as they have a strong potential to cause greater damage. Unlike existing DPS, these have a basic elemental attack, which increases the amount of damage caused against enemies whose attacks are effective. The discs for these TM collections can be obtained by facing Nightmare Terrors and completing Mystery Dungeons. Their base form can be obtained through Quests, Nightmare Crystals, or in hunting locations where they usually appear. In addition, Pokémon equipped with this TM may have their base element changed according to the clan corresponding to the Pokémon. They are:

TM Bursts, like conventional Bursts, are responsible for causing the most damage possible to the largest number of enemies present in a short period of time. They are not recommended for long battles, as they have a combo with a long cooldown, preventing new actions from being performed. They are instant combo Pokémon with low Damage per Second (DPS). This collection of TMs can be obtained by completing the Voidmania rift. Their base form can be obtained through Quests or in hunting locations where they usually appear. They are:

Like conventional Off-Tanks, TM Off-Tanks are responsible for representing the perfect balance between Defense and Attack, but they have higher stats than other existing Off-Tanks. The discs for these TM collections can be obtained in Mystery Dungeons, while the base form of these Pokémon can be obtained through Quests, Nightmare Crystals, or in hunting locations where they usually appear. IMPORTANT: This page is currently being edited and will be updated shortly. We appreciate your understanding.

Note: Although they appear on this list, the Pokémon Mega Aerodactyl and Mega Metagross are considered T1H and not TM's. However, their offensive and defensive stats are equivalent to Off-Tank TM Pokémon, along with how they are obtained. In addition, their minimum level for use is lower than other TMs, requiring the player to be level 350 to use them.

How to create a TM collection

After the player obtains the 10 TM discs, they can choose to build their Collection at the Silph Corporation located in Saffron City or at the Ultra Lab located in Sarkies Fortress of the Pewter resistance in Nightmare World.

This location is in the city of Saffron, outside NW World. Just go up to the 4th floor of the building and use the TM Machine, as shown in the image below.

TM Machine Silph Co.png
Telekinetic-compass.gif See more: Silph Corporation

Attention: This location can only be accessed by players who have completed the Sarkies Quest.

In total, six Remote Controls must be found and clicked in the following sequence:

1st Remote Control 2nd Remote Control 3rd Remote Control
Controle 1.png Controle 2.png Controle 3.png
4th Remote Control 5th Remote Control 6th Remote Control
Controle 4.png Controle 5.png Controle 6.png

After activating the sequence of Remote Controls, the player will unlock a secret passage near the third Remote Control, which they must enter. They will then find a lava path that they must follow until they locate a new secret passage.

Entrada TM Room.png Lava Caminho TM Room.png

When descending the newly found ladder, the player must pass through a path full of traps that will cause damage to the character. There is no blessing or experience penalty for being hit by the trap, however, it is recommended that the player make the journey with a Pokémon outside the ball, because when detected by the security cameras in the area, they will return to the secret entrance where there is a chance of encountering Advanced Sentinels that can defeat them.

After overcoming the traps in this area, the player will find the TM Room. With the 10 discs in hand, click on the console (box in front of the location indicated in the image below) to create the TM collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I exchange one TM collection for another? There is no NPC that performs this type of exchange. The item can only be traded between players.
  • Can I equip a TM collection on a Pokémon obtained as a reward from The Chosen One Quest? Yes, but it will not lose its unique item status.
  • Is TM a unique item? No. It can be traded between players. However, if a collection is equipped on a Pokémon with unique item status, the status will not change and it cannot be traded or used by other players.
  • Can any Pokémon be equipped with a TM? No. Only the Pokémon mentioned above can be equipped with the corresponding collection. In addition, a Mega Evolution TM can only be equipped if the Pokémon is carrying its Mega Stone.
  • Do luck elixirs or loot bonuses work on TM drops when facing a Nightmare Terror? No. Items that provide any type of loot bonus do not influence the drop of discs.
  • Can I use my Pokémon TM in duels? No. These are exclusively for use in PvE content.
  • When equipping a collection in a Mega Pokémon, will I lose the mega evolution form? The TM collection does not replace your Pokémon's Mega Stone, so you can continue to use the Pokémon in its base, Mega, or TM form. For example, when equipping a Mega Gardevoir with a TM, you can use it as a regular Gardevoir, Mega Gardevoir, or Mega Gardevoir (TM). The system for activating and deactivating the TM form is similar to the one that activates Mega Evolutions (command !autotm on/off).

How to remove a TM

You can remove the TM equipped on your Pokémon with the NPC Dr. Gate, located in Blackthorn City in Johto. The NPC will charge 20KK to remove any TM, regardless of its category.
