The Engineer is the master of technology and the production of mechanical and electronic objects. The player who is an engineer will have the ability to create various electronic devices to help them on their journey, especially Poké Balls, which are essential for any Pokémon trainer. At more advanced levels, the Engineer will even be able to produce exclusive Poké Balls that have a greater chance of catching certain Pokémon.

Becoming an Engineer

To join this profession, the player must speak to mentor Kurt. He can be found north of the Trade Center, along with the mentors of the other professions. By becoming an Engineer, the player will be able to use the work table behind Kurt (Engineer Workshop E) to create their first inventions.

First Steps

The first step, as with the other professions, is to check the items that can be made with Skill 0. In this case, it's the common Poké Ball and the “screws” that help make it. Crafting Poké Balls helps a lot at the start of the game as they are much cheaper than buying them in the market.

Tips:

  • Whenever possible, try to hunt Pokémon that provide the materials for your Craft. Also, only use the Screw Craft when you have more Iron Ores than you need;
  • Be careful when buying materials on the market, because if you pay too much, you could end up making a loss even after selling your creation.

Collecting Resources

The Engineer's main resource is ore, which can be collected with the pickaxe you receive when you enter the profession. These ores can be found in any natural area of the map, such as caves, mountains, forests, deserts, ice, among others.

Tips:

  • Areas that you can't fly over, such as caves, have a greater chance of finding large ores;
  • Areas with fewer players are easier to find ore in, as there will be fewer people collecting it.

Turrets

From Rank D, Engineers can build Turrets to help with hunting or to defeat more dangerous Pokémon, such as Shinies and Brotherhood NPCs. Turrets can help by causing blind effects and/or damage to wild Pokémon. There are several types of Turrets, but there is also a limit to how many you can place at a time. With the right strategy, you can defeat Pokémon that would be unimaginable for your level.

To produce the Turrets, you need some Electronic Scraps, which are nothing more than a kind of electronic waste. To obtain these scraps, the Engineer must have the Tool Box item (Rank D), which will be used to break electronic equipment into several pieces, thus generating Electronic Scraps, which is essential for many Crafts.

  • Tip: Turrets are immobile and only stay in place for a certain amount of time. Always think about the best strategy before positioning them.

  • Note: Turrets have a duration of 10 minutes.

Profit

The main way to make a profit as an Engineer is by selling Poké Balls, because they are needed in the game and the trade is stable. In addition, engineers can build various home decor electronics, as well as addons and utilities that are very important for more experienced players. Another way to profit in the long term is to produce some famous utilities, such as: Smartphone (an extremely necessary item for Professors), Health Check (allows the trainer to see the life of any person or Pokémon in the game), Digital Clock (a digital stopwatch that can be used to mark Spawn and Quest times, very practical and dynamic), Duelist Radar, Boss Detector, among other sophisticated equipments.

Note: All the items produced can be sold at the Machvise NPC in the same room as Kurt.

Exclusivity

The Engineer's exclusives consist of using Turrets and Motorcycles.
