Introduction

Archeologists, those adventurers who have chosen to unravel the mysteries hidden in the ruins left by the destruction of Darkrai, head out into the Nightmare World in search of relics and hidden treasures.
They are responsible for creating some of the Nightmare Rift.png Rift Crystals, used to access extreme challenges in the Nightmare World such as the Nightmare Rifts.

Becoming an Archeologist

To join this specialization, you will need to go to the Specialization Center, located in the underground of the Cerulean resistance Pokémon Center, and talk to the NPC Jones, who is responsible for appointing you as an Archeologist.

Resources

Hidden Relic

During their adventures through Nightmare World, with the help of an ingenious metal detector, the Archeologists will be able to locate Hidden Relic.png Hidden Relics buried throughout the map.
These relics are the specialization's exclusive resource, used mainly to create the Nightmare Rift.png Rift Crystals.
You can use the Profession Resource Boost.png Profession Resource Boost to increase the collection of Hidden Relic.png Hidden Relics.

Nightmare Chests

Just as outside the Nightmare World adventurers collect Gold Bars, in the Nightmare World you can collect Corrupted Gold Bar.png Corrupted Gold Bars, which can be used to create various items in the Adventurer Workshop S.
Another version of the Gold bar is the Strange Gold Bar.pngStrange Gold Bars, which is a scarcer and more difficult resource to obtain, used to make Golden Finder.png Golden Finders and Silver Finder.png Silver Finders.
It is also possible to obtain Nightmare Treasure Map.png Nightmare Treasure Maps, which are used to find hidden chests in the Nightmare World.
You can obtain these resources by opening Nightmare Chests that can be found in the Nightmare World.

Specialization Exclusives

Nightmare Compass

Searching for Nightmare Chests can sometimes be tiresome, which is why the Archeologists developed the   Nightmare Compass.
After using the compass, it will point to possible Nightmare Chests in the player's surroundings, similar to how the Boss Detector works.
There is a 1-hour cooldown between each use of the   Nightmare Compass.

Adventurer's Utility Belt

Many secondary skills are needed to reveal certain secrets within Dungeons (such as Light, Rock Smash, Dig or Cut). To meet this need, Archeologists are able to create the   Adventurer's Utility Belt.
This item is able to perform all these skills without the need for a pokémon.
Although only Archeologists can craft, the Belt can also be used by Cooks.
It can be used inside and outside the Nightmare World.
