This is the perfect profession for those who like to travel all over the map in search of mysteries, trying to uncover previously unknown facts. Unlike other professions, the adventurer has a more dynamic and spontaneous journey, not knowing what the future holds. Their focus is not on producing items as in other professions, but on finding them in hidden tombs or opening treasure chests across the map. The most important item for this profession is the Lockpick, an indispensable tool for opening the chests found. What's more, depending on the player's experience and persistence, this can be the profession with the greatest progression in the game.

Becoming an Adventurer

To become an adventurer you'll need to talk to mentor Todd Snap. He can be found north of the Trade Center, along with the mentors of the other professions. Once you become an Adventurer, you can use the work table in the left-hand corner of the room (Adventurer Workshop E) to create your first lockpicks and Item Finders.

First Steps

The first step, as with the other professions, is to check the items that can be made at skill level 0. In the case of the Adventurer, it is possible to make Item Finder E and Lockpick.
Tip: The adventurer's life basically revolves around these two items. Always have a lot of Lockpicks with you, because even if you don't have an Item Finder, you can still find some chests scattered around the map.

Lockpick

The Adventurer always has to be on the lookout for treasures in the area, as they don't cost anything and give great rewards. Opening treasure chests requires an item called Lockpick, which is why you should carry several of these in your backpack.

If you find a chest and use the lockpick on it, a window will open showing the lockpick stuck in the lock. To open the chest, you need to position the lockpick according to your intuition and press the spacebar on your keyboard. If the lockpick is in the wrong position, its color will turn red and it will gradually break. Therefore, when you notice that the lockpick has turned red, release the space bar, reposition it and try again until the lock turns completely and the chest is opened.

The difficulty of opening chests is influenced by the player's skill level in the profession (Adventurer Skill).

Item Finder

The Item Finder is used to search for hidden treasure chests or secret caves (dungeons). In both cases, the adventurer will need a Shovel to dig. The Item Finder works in a very basic way: the player places it on the ground and it points in the direction of the nearest chest or cave. When the Finder is green it means that the location is close by, when it is yellow it means that the location is a moderate distance away and when it is red it means that the finder is far away from the chest/cave, probably on another island. The Finder can also indicate when the target object is on other floors, i.e. up or down from the current floor. Then the player has to dig in the places they believe the treasure is using the shovel, depending on the situation, they may find a buried chest or a hidden cave.

An item that is always present in the rewards of chests and dungeons is Gold Coin. This item is used to produce new higher-ranking Item Finders and to produce some exclusive items, such as Held Item X-Block and some statues, but it can also be sold for money at the NPC.

  • Tip1: Always try to use the Item Finder in a large place, without too many mountains and caves, as this will make it easier to find the treasure and you'll spend less on the Item Finder.
  • Tip2: Avoid spending your Gold Coins unnecessarily, they are very important resources for producing better Item Finders.

How to use Item Finder

The Item Finder is an artifact capable of locating a hidden treasure chest and also finding secret caves (Dungeons). In both cases, the adventurer will need a shovel ( ) to dig.

Finder

The Item Finder works in a very basic way: the player simply places it on the ground, and it will point in the direction of the nearest chest or cave. Additional Information

- The use of Finders is blocked in some areas that are more difficult to access, such as the Pyramid of the Unowns in Mandarin, which requires a quest to gain access.

Profit

This is a high-risk profession, because depending on your luck, it can cause some damage or generate a large profit. The most lucrative items can be found in chests and secret caves. They include: Fortune Totem, Shiny Charm and Premier Balls.

Fortune Totems are small statues that are obtained, which guarantee bonuses in the amount of items that drop from Pokémon in a large area, greatly increasing the profit of the hunt for a while.

The Shiny Charm is an extremely rare item that can be found and sold. Whoever possesses it has a greater chance of finding wild Shinies after defeating a Pokémon.

Premier Balls are unique Poké Balls that have the same chance of capture as an Ultra Ball, but which grant an Exclusive Aura to the Pokémon caught with it. This exclusive Aura of the Premier Ball considerably increases the price of the Pokémon caught.

Adventurers can also find golden Pokémon statues for home decoration and even create high-value Legendary Pokémon Statues.

Exclusivity

The Adventurer is the only one who can make and use: The cooking system, being able to do quests and cook exclusive foods.

In addition, the Adventurer has a canoe for mobility and a swimming kit, both of which allow the player to swim without needing a Pokémon with the Surf skill. More experienced players will be able to use a bicycle to get around more quickly.

Note: If a profession has fewer exclusive items, it doesn't mean it's worse; each one is very unique and has its positive and negative sides.
