Known for being a scholar of Pokémon and nature, but also because of their students, who are able to carry out special missions under their command. The professor is a nature lover and always studying plants, producing stylized Pokémon bushes and seeds (berries) that have unique effects in the Pokémon world.

Becoming a Professor

To become a Professor you will need to talk to the mentor Professor Elm. He can be found north of the Trade Center, along with the mentors of the other professions. By becoming a Professor you can use the work table in the top left corner of the room (Professor Workshop E) to create your first inventions.

First Steps

The first step, as with the other professions, is to check the items that can be made with skill 0. In this case, it's possible to make Small Potion and Exotic Flower.

Tips:

  • It's a good idea to hunt down Pokémon that can provide the materials needed to create items, such as Pokémon of plant element. These Pokémon usually drop a lot of seeds (items), which are used in large quantities in this profession. In addition, if you are a low level, the items you make (such as potions) can help you during your journey, increasing your skill level in the profession and at the same time costing you less on your hunts.
  • Be careful when buying materials on the market, because if you pay too much, you could end up making a loss even after selling your creation.

Collecting Resources

This profession requires a lot of patience when collecting resources, which consists of picking bushes that are present in the forests, as well as other larger bushes that appear randomly throughout the map, but which significantly increase the number of resources acquired.

This material is used to produce practically all of the Professors' items, from plants to the most sophisticated Pokédex.

Tip: When you want to focus on getting resources, try to find a place with lots of bushes and make a fixed route, as they always grow back after a while.

Students

On reaching level 20 of the Profession Skill, the Professor will have the opportunity to start working with their students, i.e. they will be able to send them out on missions under their command and will also receive the rewards they earn. To manage the students, you need to use an item called Student Monitor, which can be used for free in the Profession mentor's room (in the Trade Center) or created through the Craft system for use inside a house.

As soon as you use Student Monitor, a new window will open and you will be introduced to the student control interface, which will be used for practically everything related to them. It is known that each student has their own name, clan and three (3) Pokémon. Over time, as the student levels up, you'll be able to request a change of Pokémon so that they can find a stronger one. Take a look at the image below:

To start a mission, simply drag the student to the desired mission and click on “start”. Once the student has been placed on a mission, check the percentage of success they have, as often a student from another clan may have a better chance of success than the one you have chosen. This success percentage is based on two factors:

  • The average level of the three (3) Pokémon and the student in relation to the level of the mission.
  • The student's clan.

The missions are divided into four (4) types:

  • Hunting Missions: These are common quests, and the student will receive a certain amount of experience and some prizes.
  • Training Missions: As the name implies, these are missions to train your students, so the experience received is doubled compared to Hunting Missions, but in this case there will be no other reward.
  • Capturing Missions: These are slightly rarer missions, the student will receive experience and bring back some items, with the possibility of capturing a Pokémon for the Professor.
  • Special Missions: Special missions are the ones that can offer the best rewards of all, such as extremely valuable items, but there are many variations. They are also rare and you should always choose the student who has the best chance of success.

Finally, the Professor can also call on a student to help in his real-time battles, but this requires the Professor to have a Smartphone, i.e. an item that must be produced by an Engineer.

  • Tip1: Avoid changing Pokémon all the time, do it wisely when your student is at a more advanced level compared to current Pokémon.
  • Tip2: Missions with a difference of 30 or more levels from their students will not give experience or any other reward.
  • Tip3: Optimize your time well and have students from different clans, as this will help you complete more missions and have a better chance of success.
  • Tip4: Click here to access the game's official forum thread, which is full of information about the students' missions.

Profit

At the beginning of their journey, Professors won't have it so easy, but once the higher levels are reached, profit is inevitable. There are currently three (3) main ways to make a profit in this profession:

  • Students: As explained earlier, by carrying out missions, students will bring rewards to the Professor, but these rewards will only be valuable when they are at higher levels. It should also be noted that the Professor can have a maximum of 5 students carrying out missions at the same time.
  • Berries: Although it may not seem attractive at first, it is true that a well-controlled berries plantation provides excellent profits, but you do need a house to plant them in. Note: Be careful not to leave the berries for too long, as they can rot and you will lose your entire plantation.
  • Alchemy: Using his knowledge of alchemy, Professors can build a Boost laboratory for Pokémon and get a lot of money from their craft.

Exclusivity

The exclusivity of this profession falls to the Students and the Segway. Students can be recruited to help the Professor on their Pokémon journey, either by facilitating the hunt or helping with Quests. As for the Segway, it's an item that increases the character's movement speed, making it easier to get around.
