By killing Darkrai Minions, the player can "study" the creatures' bodies to acquire ![]()


The Academic specialization focuses on students and provides special academic missions, allowing the player to collect resources outside the Nightmare World.
To join this specialization, the player must go to the Specialization Center, located underground in the Cerulean resistance Pokémon Center, and talk to the NPC Fhistel, who is responsible for appointing the player as an Academic.

Upon becoming an Academic, the player receives the outfit for their specialization.
Academics can collect their resources from student special missions and by studying the Darkrai Minions (using the Tablet).
To buy the tablet, the player must go to the NPC Darwin, which will be located next to the NPC Fhistel.
In addition to the Tablet, this NPC will allow the player to buy Medicinal Leaves, Gardening Bag, Alchemist Empty Becker and Mortar.
By using the Tablet, the player can collect the souls of the Darkrai Minion and the Nightmare Crystal.
This type of gathering is common between the two Professor specializations (Alchemist and Academic).

By defeating Nightmare Crystals, the player can use the tablet on the destroyed Crystal to receive 1 ![]()
Note: The player can study these creatures and entities without having defeated them. To do so, they must be in the same group as the person who defeated them.

To do this, you'll need to find the herb in its natural state:
The player can find 3 types of Medicinal Herbs.

This resource is collectible by any player, but the items that use them are only craftable by alchemists and academics.

By collecting the Medicinal Herbs, the player will receive Medicinal Leaves in their inventory, which will finally become Crushed Leaves when they use the ![]()
Academics collect exclusive resources by completing special missions. To do this, the player must access some kind of Student Monitor and look for a mission of the type Academic.

In addition to the 6 missions available to professors, Academics can step into the shoes of their students to receive ![]()
Upon completing a mission of the Academic type, the player will receive 20 ![]()
It is possible to complete 10 missions of this type per day. The player can replace Academic missions 3 times a day.

When entering an Academic mission, the player steps into the shoes of their student and must complete the mission objective to finish it.

On completing the dungeon, the player will receive rewards according to the mission they complete.

There are two types of Academic missions, 'catch and 'hunt. Each one has its own objective and questions.
In the hunt missions, the player must defeat a certain number of Pokémon in the dungeon to complete it.
The number of Pokémon to defeat will be displayed in the top right-hand corner. For each Pokémon defeated, a warning will appear in the player's Default Chat.

Tip: In some of these missions, the player will be able to find Shiny versions of the Pokémon in the dungeon.
By becoming an Academic, the player will receive some bonuses in relation to the mentoring system.
Upon reaching Level 120 in their profession, Academics can recruit a new student for their missions. In addition, they receive bonuses for their student's missions with the completion time being reduced by half and a higher experience bonus compared to other professors.
