Important Info
In summary, the Drowned City Rift features 3 bosses that must be defeated in the following order: Shiny Tentacruel, Alomomola, and Shiny Gyarados. Additionally, it’s the ideal location for players who need to catch an
Alomomola.
In total, you must defeat 32 Pokémon inside the Rift. As soon as you enter, you’ll face 12
Alomomola. After defeating them, simply use the water jet to go up to the next floor.
Now you can head to the first boss, Shiny Tentacruel. To do this, players should go north and use the whirlpool to go down one floor, and then continue on until they find a staircase that leads to Shiny Tentacruel.
At this point, players must defeat it to proceed through the Rift. At times, the Shiny Tentacruel will switch targets and pull all players to the center of the arena. Additionally, at a certain point, it will summon several Tentacool and Shiny Tentacool to hinder the players.
After defeating it, many traps will appear on the map. Players must retrace their steps to reach the battle area and use the water jet to climb to the next floor.
Now it's important to finish defeating all the Pokémon in the Rift. There are 32 in total, and the count will appear in the game's Default channel.
Access to
Alomomola's location will also be open by then. So players can go defeat it.
To free it, just click on the chest in the middle of the arena.
Alomomola also has some basic mechanics designed to disrupt players, such as switching targets and summoning other Pokémon.
Note: After defeating it, the water traps will reappear to hinder the players. You must leave the area and head to the entrance of the final boss, Shiny Gyarados.
Shiny Gyarados is very powerful and changes targets from time to time. It also summons some enemies to hinder the players.
After defeating the boss, just leave the area, and you'll see that the path is full of water traps meant to slow you down. Just dodge them and head to the end of the Rift.
Alternative Boss - Shiny Giant Tentacruel
If you're lucky, there might be a
Giant Shiny Tentacruel inside the Rift. Players who defeat it receive an extra reward.
You can tell this is going to happen when you enter the Rift and the screen starts to sway.
The
Giant Shiny Tentacruel switches targets every few seconds, so it's important to pay attention.
If you defeat it, you'll have a chance to get the
10.000 Carat Emerald as an extra reward. This item is important for creating the
Alolan Egg.
